American Legion to Hold Memorial Day Ceremony

As it does every year, American Legion Post 376 will host a Memorial Day ceremony to honor those fallen brethren who lost their lives in defense of our nation.

Van Alstyne’s American Legion Post 376 will honor current and former military personnel with a May 26 ceremony. The Memorial Day Remembrance will begin at 9 a.m. that Monday morning at Van Alstyne Cemetery.

Speaking at the Remembrance will be Carl Bilderback, a retired Air Force chaplain and Lt. Colonel.

The Sister Grove Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will also be participating in the Memorial Day ceremony. The National Anthem will be sung by Van Alstyne High School vocalist Emily Stone.

The public is invited to attend the Remembrance. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held at American Legion Post 376 at 293 Jay Rd in Van Alstyne.
