Gunter High School Announces Top Graduates

Gunter High School has named its 2014 valedictorian and salutatorian, Julie Galvan and Miranda Bon, respectively.

Galvan, daughter of Ramiro and Maria Galvan of Gunter, topped the list of 58 students graduating June 6. She plans to study human resources development at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Bon will major in pharmacy at Angelo State University in San Angelo. She is the daughter of David and Sharon Bon of Gunter.

Twelve other seniors graduated with honors from the school: Jade Allen, Emily Bruner, Natalie Newman, Katherin Sevilla, Lana Green, Kasandra Puebla, Ashleigh Gehman, Sarah Newman, Blanca Dominguez, Allie Martin, Ronald Leonardo and Madeline Rowe.

Additionally, Gunter High School recognized scholarship winners during a recent awards ceremony. More than 30 students were awarded a total of nearly $750,000 in scholarships.
