Van Alstyne police reported eight incidents and 153 calls for service over the past week.
On April 3, at 4:13 p.m., police made a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) stop on 63-year-old Paul Aldridge of Van Alstyne. Aldridge was arrested by VAPD.
On April 5, at 6:45 p.m., police arrested 33-year-old Christopher Case of Van Alsyneon a charge of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, a misdemeanor A offense. He was also charged with Assault/Family Violence, a misdemeanor C offense.
“He was carrying an illegal knife, and there were signs of an assault,” said VAPD Chief Tim Barnes.
Aon April 6, at 8:52 p.m., police were called out to northbound Highway 75 regarding a reckless driver. The driver, 29-year-old Samuel Cortes of Durant, Okla. was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor A offense.
