Speaking of summer, it is almost here. The brochures are ready for you to pick up with all of the information about Fizz, Boom, Read; this year’s reading contest for ages 3-12. Every Monday at 10:30 a.m. will be a special program for kids. Every Friday, beginning June 13, will be Friday Family Fun at 6 p.m. where your whole family can play games or watch a movie.

Tween Book Club will meet July 17, 24, 31, August 7 and 14 at 4 p.m. The book they will read and discuss is The 100-year-old Secret by Tracy Barrett (Square Fish Publishing 2010). We have print and e-book copies of this title.

Friday, August 1 we will have a visit by paleontologist Dinosaur George Blassingame with his dinosaur fossils. There will also be Teen and Adult Reading contests and the Third Monday Book Club will continue to meet at noon. Stop by and pick up a summer calendar now.
