CADDO MILLS — Chris De la Cruz scored in the third overtime and Pottsboro stopped a two-point attempt after the ensuing Caddo Mills touchdown to pull out a 62-61 victory in District 6-2A (I) action on Friday night.
Thaddeus Flinn had 156 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries while Kory Waller caught a pair of touchdown passes from Hunter Mullinex for Pottsboro (6-1, 3-0).
Mullinex scored on a 12-yard run with 1:01 left in the game to force overtime. Flynn had touchdown runs in the first and second overtimes before De la Cruz scored what proved to be the game-winner.
Erik Richards scored in the first and third OTs for Caddo Mills while David Chandler extended the game for the Foxes with a touchdown in the second overtime.
Richards ran for four touchdowns and threw for another while Chandler scored three times on the ground for Caddo Mills (2-5, 1-2).
District 12-3A Princeton 55, Bonham 12
PRINCETON — Jourdan Blake threw four touchdown passes as Princeton opened district play with a victory against Bonham on Friday night.
Jakari Dillard caught two TD passes and returned a kickoff 65 yards for a score while Trey Jackson finished with 134 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries for Princeton (7-0, 1-0).
Jacob Kemp had a pair of eight-yard touchdown runs in the second quarter and finished with 74 yards for Bonham (2-5, 0-1). Dra Smith threw for 84 yards and ran for 59 more for the Warriors.
District 9-3A Gainesville 48, Decatur 23
DECATUR — Adam Berryman had 204 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries as Gainesville opened district play with a victory against Decatur on Friday night.
Mason Copeland threw for 113 yards and two TDs while added a touchdown on the ground while Demarius Farr scored a rushing touchdown and Demetrius Franklin and Devin Mims had the receiving touchdowns for Gainesville (6-0, 1-0).
Grayson Muehlstein threw three touchdown passes — two to Cain Lowe — for Decatur (4-3, 0-1).
District 5-2A (I) Pilot Point 20, Ponder 12
PONDER — Travis Garrett ran for three touchdowns as Pilot Point edged Ponder in district play on Friday night.
Garrett finished with 137 yards on 19 carries, including a 61-yarder with 8:49 left with Pilot Point ahead by just a point. Tristan Jurecka added 79 yards on 20 carries and DaCoven Bailey had five catches for 70 yards for Pilot Point (5-2, 3-0).
Brady Anderson had a one-yard TD run and Christian Worthington returned a kickoff 90 yards for a score for Ponder (2-5, 0-3).
Boyd 41, Callisburg 27
BOYD — Rheyce Childress ran for 181 yards and threw a pair of touchdown passes in Callisburg’s district loss to Boyd on Friday night.
Jacob King and Mason Lanthorn had the TD grabs while Langthorn and Eli Hollandsworth scored on the ground for Callisburg (4-2, 0-2).
Boyd (2-5, 2-1) held a 34-13 lead after three quarters.
District 7-A (I) Collinsville 74, Blue Ridge 6
COLLINSVILLE — John Lewis had 186 yards rushing, 106 yards receiving and scored five touchdowns as Collinsville opened district play with a victory against Blue Ridge on Friday night.
Hayden Smith finished with 109 yards rushing and three touchdowns while Connor Daley and Jacob Claytor added rushing touchdowns for Collinsville (4-2, 1-0), which led 35-6 after the first quarter. Daley finished with 141 yards passing and had three TD throws to Lewis.
Thomas Weatherford caught a touchdown pass from Ty Agan for Blue Ridge (1-5, 0-1).
