Howe senior Garrett Fulenchek, after receiving scholarship offers from several schools, has decided to further his baseball career with the Dallas Baptist University Patriots.

Fulencheck signed his National Letter of Intent at Howe High School on Nov. 14 during the early signing period. After an exceptional summer season, Fulenchek began to receive notice from several major college programs, such as Arkansas and Texas Tech.

After a visit with the coaching staff at DBU, Fulenchek made his decision.

“I really liked the environment, the coaches, they got to know me as a person.” Fulenchek said. “It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to play at the collegiate level and now it’s a dream come true”

Dallas Baptist University is an NCAA Division I school which plays in the Missouri Valley Conference, and the big right-hander, while looking forward to his final high school season, is also looking forward to taking his game to the next level.
