Garrett Fulenchek led a trio of area players selected for the 2013 All-Texomaland baseball team.
Fulenchek, who returns to Howe in 2014 for his senior season, pitched, played shortstop, and on one occasion he caught for the Bulldogs in their third place run last season. He is the reigning offensive MVP for District 11-2A and led the Bulldogs with a .524 average at the plate.
Howe senior Ryan Haines was a second team pick for the select squad. Haines also showed his versatility, playing centerfield for the Bulldogs in addition to pitching and catching when needed. Haines batted .473 and drove in 35 runs last season.
Van Alstyne’s Kearon Redmon added an All-Texomaland berth to his all-district honors for the 2013 season. The sophomore outfielder batted .348 for the Panthers and led the team in home run trots with three.
Congratulations to these athletes for another 2013 honor.
